Tourism & disability
The State Secretariat for Tourism is committed to a process of awareness and engagement of the tourism professionals for the accessibility and integration of people with disabilities.
It is for this reason that the national label «Tourism and Disability» was created in 2001. It is, in a way, a response to the demand of people with disabilities who want to be able to choose their holidays and leisure in complete freedom. A site labeled «Tourism and Disability» must be able to guarantee the complete autonomy of the disabled person during his visit or his stay. There are 4 types of disabilities: auditory, mental, motor, visual.
