Ukulélé Baroque
37500  CHINON
Breakfast concert with Jeanne Zaepffel, vocals, Marie Salvat, ukulele, violin and vocals, and Camille Dupont, cello. Marie Salvat is a violinist who also plays the ukulele. This instrument, which means "jumping flea", a name given to it by the rapid movements of the right hand, accompanies with its popular touch the great arias of the Baroque repertoire, from Claudio Monteverdi to Henry Purcell, right through to the classic arias of Mozart, performed by Marie Salvat herself and Jeanne Zaepffel on vocals. The bass line of the cello supports the musicians, punctuating the program with Bach suites that enhance this festive and joyful moment.
